The Spider Crawl

When I was living I dreamt a spider was crawling toward me
As she approached me, I felt a poison pump into my bloodstream
My body went numb and a green radiation filled the entire room
I knew at that point that the spider's love would cause me to meet my doom

Her black fingernails broke through my skin as she pressed her lips against mine
Her voice rang out above the roar and stopped the slither of time
The soulless shell that once was my body was taking it's final breath
Anticipating it's undeniable, irresistible death

There she was creeping down the steps toward me
Twenty green eyes and eight legs I could see
"I've waited so long for this moment" she cried
With the poison touch from her fingers, I died

Though I'm now dead I still remember the sound of the widow's call
I see very clearly her shadow in the moonlight on my wall
She bared her fangs and she glared at me with no emotion at all
I could never forget the wind in the trees on the night of the spider crawl
