We finally have shirts for girls! And other news.

It only took us four years, but we now have shirts for girls available! Aieee!

Also, thanks to everyone who came to our last two shows of the 2008! They were both
incredibly fun! Extra special thanks to the guys in
Rezurex, Switchblade 77, and
Craic Haus. We couldn't have had a better time rocking out 2008!

We're already gearing up for our next adventure. We're booking
NEW SHOWS and
we're  writing new songs! Stay tuned for even more exciting surprises in the next couple
of weeks.

You shouldn't have left us unsupervised.

Now look what's happened! We've gone and gotten a new bass player!

Friends, we'd like to introduce -
Mr. Nicholas David.

We're incredibly excited to start the next chapter in The Limit Club's history. Things
have been going very well since the change-over and we know you'll like the things that
we've got in store for you.

Regarding our man Cadaverous Joel, we're very sorry to see him slip away. But in the
end it's probably best that friends take their separate paths. Joel was a best friend and
partner for a long time, but now he's starting a family with his girlfriend (it's going to be a
boy from what I've heard) and he has much bigger matters to attend to than a silly little
Gothabilly band. We wish him nothing but the best in his future adventures.

In other news, we have two major live shows coming up real fast in Lake Havasu, AZ
and Scottsdale / Tempe, AZ! Don't miss 'em!

Let's ROCK!

Click the thumbnail below to visit Mick's site and check it out!

In other news, we're cleaning out our virtual garage's here in LimitClubLand, and that
means we're finally getting around to posting up a buncha old crap here on the site!
Weeee!

Check out the
LIVE PHOTO and SESSION PHOTO pages for all kinds of
never-before-seen stuff. Some of it is brand new, some of it goes back into the middle
of last year, but ALL of it is new to you, dear reader. Click the images below to jump
over to the content pages.

And finally, we've posted up a new

A Limit Club history lesson.

A question we've been asked dozens of times: "What does The Limit Club mean?".
To put it quite simply, it's just a band name. There's is no real meaning behind it. There
is however, a history behind the name. The history was well known by the band before
we decided to use it as the title for the group. This is our effort to share the history of
the name with you, dearies. Here goes:

In 1978, Sheffield, England, a man named Kevan Johnson opened a bar and rock
music venue called "The Limit Club". The bar stayed open for about 12 years and
hosted live performances by many notable acts including: the B-52s, Gang of Four,
Madness, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Revillos, Meteors and Pink Floyd among others.

In July 1980, Malcolm Owen, singer for the punk band "The Ruts" died of a heroin
overdose at the age of 26. Malcolm was a friend of Captain Sensible and The Damned.

After the death of Malcolm, The Damned wrote a song dedicated to Ruts frontman
called "The Limit Club". This song was pressed on a 7" EP (12" in some countries)
called "The Friday The 13th EP" in 1981.

Some 15 or so years later, a teenager by the name of Nick (that would be me) was
scrounging around a local record store in search of CDs by his favorite band, The
Damned. What I found was a rarities compilation called "Tales From The Damned",
which featured all four tracks from the "Friday the 13th EP" among others.

The song "The Limit Club" quickly became my favorite song by the Damned, and
eventually my favorite song of all time. Thanks to it's haunting lyrics ("
Like velvet claws,
the night unfolds
"), the cool organ intro and the upbeat guitar and drum combo, its been
at the top of the list ever since.

Here's a Radio One Session version of "The Limit Club", segued with clips of Malcolm
Owen and the Ruts courtesy of Youtube. This isn't the same version released on the
Friday the 13th EP, but it's still quite good. Enjoy!
A sign in front of the original Limit Club.

We want the airwaves, baby!

The Limit Club has been featured on two different independent podcasts this month.

The first of these is "Blaqart Radio - Cutthroat Business" which was hosted by Steven
Blaqart and co-hosted by Nick Feratu! On this podcast, we spin some of our favorite
underground bands and talk about all sorts of glorious things (such as: The Quakes,
Psychobilly, this history of the Limit Club, Goth Rock and lots more).

Click the pic below to visit Blaqart Radio and listen for yourself:

Next up is Burrito Electrico Punk Rock Podcast! On this podcast you can hear the Limit
Club, alongside such acts as Anti-Flag, Husker Du, and the Dillinger Four! Whammy!

And lastly, keep checking back for new
TOURDATES! This tour is gonna rule your ASS!

We'll leave you alone now.

The Limit Club succumbs to bizarre internet trends!

We all got Twitter accounts. We can't resist a good internet trend. Feel free to call us a
pack of whores. It would certainly be appropriate (especially in Juan's case, heehee).

We just can't wait until the next big thing sweeps in and puts the final nail in the big,
glitchy, coffin of motherfucking
MySpazz. Hey don't get us wrong - the 'Space has helped
out our cause tremendously over the years, but it's just so unreliable! It seems like
something is always broken or malfunctioning on that site. So unless they get their act
together (which isn't likely), we'll keep trying out new and different ways to reach our
fans. Besides, it's free! Might as well have a go at it and see what happens.

Anyhoo, if you have a MySpace or a Twitter, go ahead and "add" us / "follow" us!

Cutthroat Business West Coast Tour report!

I'm sure you've all been sitting around the computer waiting for this, so here goes:

The tour was simply EPIC! We had the time of our lives, despite the insane amount of
work and the occasional misstep here and there. We made of ton of new friends, fans
and wrought our fair share of havoc all up and down the coastline.

We've posted a metric goat-load of new photos (and almost an HOUR of live videos
scattered amongst the photo pages) from the tour.

Click the thumbnails below to visit the LIVE PHOTO page and check 'em out!

We have plenty of people to thank for all the support and generosity we received.

Whole-hearted thanks from all of us, straight to the following:

- Half Dead Central, Awaken The Nightmare and everyone from the Havasu Dome Crew
- Andy, Tony and Switchblade 77
- Fez and Nightmare Syndrome
- Wendy 13, Ms. Becky and family
- Dale Meza
- Ralph and Order of the Fly
- Black Rose Phantoms (even though you guys are a bunch of MANIACS, hahaha)
- Kenny Hill, Yazmine, KRO and the Boneshakers
- Ziggy from Another Zeke Productions
- The Returners (OH, RIK TURNER!)
- Motel Drive
- The mean, mean man Marcus Murbach!
- The Sawyer Family
- Corey Cutlip
- Sasha and Jack!
-
NO THANKS to Chaos Cafe in Portland. They seem to lack the ability to function as a
legitimate venue. Furthermore, fuck them.
- EvilLucas and V8Kate
- Jake and Hot Rod Carl
- Mike, Neat Neat Noise and everyone at Pirate Cat Radio in San Francisco
- My main man Clara!
- Tabaltix, Luv 'N' Rockets and the Mutilators! What a killer show lineup!
- The Chop Tops, the Strikers and Good Shit Ent.
- Burrito Steve and the Royal Motherfucking Dead! I can't wait to bear your children, you
sexy beasts.
- Bianca Dexter for showing us that there is a ton of cool shit to do in Albuquerque with
the right group of hellraising delinquents!
- Bernie, Elvis, Tristin, Nick, Kim, Frank and Niedermeier. Farmington was by far the best
night of the tour. You guys rule.
- Finally - Janessa and Greg Hilliard. Sincerely - We couldn't have done it without you!

So there you have it. What's next in line for the Limit Club? Songwriting rehearsals have
been underway for the last two weeks. Studio recording begins NEXT MONTH for the
next Limit Club studio album!

Cutthroat Business is NOT OVER YET!

The Limit Club on 602radio.com!

What can we say about this little adventure that was 602radio? We went in, we recorded
a full live set and did our best to make jackasses of ourselves during an interview.

Holy shit we were drunk! Forgive us. We said a lot of very unsavory things. Any
semblance of "political correctness" that may exist within our minds went straight out the
damned door. We were loose and uncensored. They gave us free beer (for which we are
eternally grateful), but in reality, we didn't even know we were being interviewed! Haha!

Here are some things to listen for:

- TWO new Limit Club songs are played! They are "Cutthroat Business" and "Seven Rusty Blades".
These songs will be on the new upcoming Limit Club album.

- Juan Carlos tells the tale of the weirdest thing that we've ever seen on tour. It involves Kim Nekroman
and a crazy, drunk hillbilly in Farmington, New Mexico.

- Juan Carlos talking and talking and talking. Is he the band spokesman or something?

- Juan Carlos shares which man on the planet (if any) he would have a homosexual encounter with.

- "ERROR CITY".

- We uhh... fucked up a song. They were supposed to edit it out! We're glad they didn't though. It's
funnier with it in there.

- My mother (
Mama Feratu) happened to call me as we were being interviewed. I hadn't spoken to her
in weeks! We couldn't pass up the opportunity to get her in on the action. Hilarity ensued.

- NickDave orders a pizza. Mmmmm, mushrooms.

Click here to jump over to 602radio.com and listen to the full broadcast. It's almost a full
hour of unfiltered Limit Club goodliness. Thank you, goodnight. Please tip your bartender.

If you are offended by harsh language, then proceed with caution. But then again,
if you are offended by that kind of thing, how can you be a fan of The Limit Club in the
first place?

Thanks to everyone at 602radio for having us!

"Each journey lasts an age..."

Releasing an album independently is a lot of work. Every time a new album comes out,
the band members must collectively scramble to cash in their debts, smash open their
piggy banks (occasionally their parent's piggy banks) and forgo consuming actual food
(beer is still consumed in large quantities). All of this in an effort to get the damn thing
pressed and into your clammy little hands. But holy hell it's worth it! Opening a newly
delivered box of your pressed CDs is like seeing your newborn child for the first time. At
least that's what I think it would be like. I'll ask Joel.

Anyhoo! We're almost done with the new album. I'm sure you all have been waiting
eagerly for a new discload of sonic oblivion since the day
Phantom Cats was released
(what else is there to do?) and your wait is almost over. We have one more recording
session before it's all done!

Songs we're recorded so far include:

- Seven Rusty Blades
- Cutthroat Business
- Swing Through The Apocalypse
- Shake
- Just A Mirage
- Return To My Darker Self
- Kick In The Eye

.... and a few essential surprises.

Oh yes - Check out our new shirts!

Pretty neat, eh? Click over to the
MERCH page and buy one or both. Help us fund the
new album!
